Weightlifter Tudor Bratu won the bronze medal at the 2023 European Championships in Yerevan, reserved for seniors. The Ministry of Research and Education announced in a social media post.

International Master of Sports Tudor Bratu, within the limits of the category up to 102 kg, completed the first snatch test by lifting 170 kg, taking 4th place, and the second throw test by lifting 204 kg, ranking 5th. Cumulating a total of 364 kg, the athlete ranked 3rd.

The victory achieved by the athlete is also due to the coaches of the national weightlifting team: Sergiu Crețu and Maxim Cojocaru and personal trainer Andrei Reuțchii, Emeritus Coaches of the Republic of Moldova.

Participation in the competition was possible thanks to the financial support of the Ministry of Education and Research, and the athlete and coaches will benefit from monetary prizes offered by the Ministry during the Sports Gala, traditionally organized at the end of the year.
