RIBAKOV TEAM unleashed a storm of victories at the Eagles Cup 2023 International Competition, which took place in the city of Monor, Hungary on October 7-8. The athletes from Cahul won 42 medals, proving their supremacy in the world of sports.

This competition attracted 425 participants from 6 countries, including Hungary, France, Austria, Slovakia, Ukraine, and the Republic of Moldova. With unparalleled skills and dedication, the RIBAKOV TEAM team has proven to be on par with the best athletes in the world, and this fact is demonstrated by: 13 GOLD medals; 11 SILVER medals and 18 BRONZE medals.

Over two days, our athletes from the Cahul and Cantemir region competed in various events, including wrestling and tull (formal complexes), with some of the youngest participants also tackling jumping and breaking events. What made this competition special was also the mutual support of athletes from different countries who gathered to watch and appreciate the spectacular fights.

What we did in Hungary was a real revolution. When our athletes fought on the tatami, many athletes from other countries gathered and watched the fights, and after the fights they greeted our boys and told them that they fought well and that they were good. It was nice for me as a coach to watch something like that. Apart from this, we had two athletes who turned 18 at the time of registration for the competition and according to the regulations, they had the right to participate in the junior 15-17 year old categories but also in the senior 18-36 year old categories. It is about the athletes Cervinschi Ionuț and Barnaciuc Veaceslav, who each had 14-15 fights in a single day, practically all day they fought on tatami. For us, they are real heroes. They managed to get 6 and 8 medals respectively, this is a record for us, I really don't know where they found so much strength, but I convinced myself once again that we have athletes in our team with whom you can topple mountains.'' - mentioned Gheorghe Ribakov
