The competitive spirit and talent of Cahul athletes reached new heights at the European Jiu Jitsu Championship, organized by the prestigious Abu Dhabi Jiu Jitsu Pro (AJP) between October 6-8, 2023, in Turkey.

The "Wolf Pack Academy" Sports Club was proud to be represented by a team of passionate fighters and their results were impressive. At this prestigious event, which attracted athletes from all over the world, the athletes from Cahul showed determination and skill in the competition. But the star of the moment was, without a doubt, our champion, Taraș Damian, who achieved 1st place for the Republic of Moldova. Taraș Damian not only proudly represented his country, but also surpassed his opponents with his remarkable skills in Jiu Jitsu. This victory represents not only a personal triumph, but also a moment of national pride.

The "Wolf Pack Academy" Sports Club team was guided by coach Mircea Bragagiu, who contributed to the rigorous training of the athletes and the development of their fighting skills.

The AJP European Championship was attended by athletes from various countries, such as Turkey, Bulgaria, Russia, Azerbaijan, Ukraine, Kazakhstan, the United Arab Emirates, Uzbekistan, Romania, and many others. The competition was truly international, and the athletes from Cahul demonstrated that they are on par with the best in the world.

For Taraș Damian, this is a promising start to his wrestling career. His performance at this championship not only brought recognition to the Republic of Moldova, but also showed his character and determination to excel in this exceptional sport.
