[Photo] Europe Day in Cahul debuts with "EU4Cahul Marathon - Run for every child!"

An event that brought people together, which is why both professional and amateur athletes, young people and adults lined up at the start, all sharing the love for sports and promoting a healthy lifestyle. The main purpose of the event was to emphasize the need to improve access to quality social services for children and adolescents in Cahul and throughout the country.

The race was organized by the City Hall of Cahul, with the support of the European Union, and managed to create an atmosphere of enthusiasm and camaraderie among the participants. The well-established route allowed the runners to explore the beauty of Cahul and enjoy the scenic landscapes throughout the entire race. Both those who chose the 5 km distance and those who opted for the 10 km had the opportunity to test their endurance and overcome their personal limits.

A special aspect of this event was the participation of children, who were encouraged to get involved in running and enjoy exercise. Many children lined up at the start, dressed in sports gear and with smiles on their faces, showing off their skills and supporting their parents or other runners in their shared endeavour. As the participants crossed the finish line, bucuria and satisfaction could be seen on their faces.

Each runner was rewarded with a medal for their effort and contribution to supporting children in the community.

Europe Day in Cahul will continue with the Concert in Independence Square, which will have the artists Smiley and Bakota Band as guests.
