[Photo] Europe Day in Cahul debuts with "EU4Cahul Marathon - Run for every child!"

An event that brought people together, which is why both professional and amateur athletes, young and old, lined up at the start, all sharing the love for sports and promoting a healthy lifestyle. The main goal of the event was to emphasize the need to improve access to quality social services for children and adolescents in Cahul and throughout the country.

The race was organized by the Cahul City Hall, with the support of the European Union, and managed to create an atmosphere of enthusiasm and camaraderie among the participants. The well-established route allowed runners to explore the beauty of Cahul and enjoy the picturesque landscapes throughout the race. Both those who chose the 5 km distance and those who opted for the 10 km had the opportunity to test their endurance and overcome their personal limits.

A special aspect of this event was the participation of children, who were encouraged to get involved in running and enjoy the movement. Many children lined up at the start, dressed in sports gear and with smiles on their faces, demonstrating their skills and supporting their parents or other runners in their common effort. As the participants crossed the finish line, bucuria and satisfaction could be read on their faces.

Each runner was rewarded with a medal for their effort and contribution to supporting children in the community.

Europe Day in Cahul will continue with the Concert in Independence Square, which will feature the artists Smiley and Bakota Band as guests.
