On January 21, 2024, the first edition of the Volleyball Tournament in Memory of Veterans took place in Comrat. The tournament was attended by 7 teams from: Comrat, Cedâr-Lunga, Vulcanesti, Tomai, Izmail (Ukraine) and Cahul. The team from Cahul demonstrated an exceptional performance, ranking first.

The general team ranking was defined as follows:

• First place: Cahul
• Second place: Izmail (Ukraine)
• Third place: Vulcanesti

The champions from the Cahul team, who contributed to the victory, are: Calcatinj Leonid, Calcatinj Victor, Boitan Eduard, Boitan Nicolae, Ghimpu Alexei, Hariton Eugen, Goreackhin Alexei.
