On July 8, the Palace of Culture was marked by a special musical event. JCI Cahul and the Cahul Municipal Philharmonic organized a charity concert with classical music entitled "1001 Nights".

The audience had the privilege of enjoying the remarkable performance of international artists. The National Symphony Orchestra of the "Teleradio-Moldova" Company was the main protagonist of the evening, performing a diverse and captivating musical program. The program included an Orchestral Arrangement on the theme of the hymn "Holy, Holy, Holy" for organ, piano and orchestra, composed by David Winkler. Ana Strezeva, a People's Artist, performed on the organ, and Vera Stoianova, a "Master in Art", played on the piano, offering an impeccable interpretation.

One of the main pieces of the evening was the Concerto No. 1 in B flat minor, Op. 23 for piano and orchestra, composed by PI Tchaikovsky. Soloist Gheorghe Voilochnikoff from Germany impressed the audience with his virtuosity and sensitive approach to this classic of music. The sounds of his piano harmoniously intertwined with the orchestral accompaniment, creating a captivating atmosphere in the concert hall.

The highlight of the evening was the symphonic suite "Scheherazade", op. 35 by NA Rimsky-Korsakov. Conducted by the talented Rotilă Ilioe Croitoru, the orchestra performed the fabulous story of Scheherazade with mastery and emotion. Fragments of this symphonic suite traveled with the audience to the exotic realm of Middle Eastern tales, captivating everyone present.

The event was organized for charitable purposes, to support noble causes and bring joy to the hearts of the students of the "M.Cebotari" Music School in Cahul, who will be purchased a "Pian Royale"
