Today, December 16, Cahul was dressed in festive attire with the inauguration of the Christmas tree in Independence Square. The twinkling lights and joyful atmosphere created a perfect setting to celebrate the spirit of Christmas together.

The Mayor of Cahul, Mr. Nicolae Dandiș, greeted the community present and expressed his gratitude for the involvement of each resident in creating an atmosphere of celebration and joy, especially for the little ones.

It is a joy when we light the lights on the holiday tree. Thank you for being here today, to create that atmosphere of celebration and joy for each child in particular. May bucuria and peace last in every family around our locality, emphasized Mr. Nicolae Dandiș.

With the festive lights switched on, Santa Claus and Fulguța took over the baton, delighting the audience with a charming story and carols by the "Altița" ensemble and the "Masca" Theater Studio's troupe of hurlers.

The event included the active participation of children, who recited poems and received gifts from Santa Claus. In Independence Square, visitors had the opportunity to enjoy hot drinks, local food and products. Also, a play complex with a carousel, swings, slides and much more brought fun to the little ones.
