The festival brought together 15 theater bands from the Republic of Moldova and Romania, in a vibrant artistic marathon, full of emotion, talent and passion for the stage.
The event was officially opened inside the Palace of Culture, through the interpretation of the festival anthem - "Theater spring" - by the disciples of the Creation Center for Children "Luceafărul", coordinated by Mrs. Aliona Bufenco. The emotional message of this hymn also accompanied the moment of closing, symbolizing the continuity and hope for new editions of the festival.
During the two days, the public had the opportunity to discover shows created by troops from Cahul, Chisinau, Ungheni, Soldănești, Soroca, Hâncești, Vadul lui Isac, but also from the municipalities of Romania: Vaslui, Bacău, Brăila and Panciu. Among the pieces presented were adaptations from the classic literature, shows for children and teenagers, but also creations inspired by contemporary dramaturgy.
The breaks between the shows were animated by recitals offered by the disciples of the Studiou "Masca" Theater and of the "Luceafărul" Center, creating a warm and artistic atmosphere, beyond the stage.
The festival ended with a festive ceremony for the handing of diplomas and trophies to all the participating troops, in the presence of Mr. Nicolae Dandiș, the mayor of Cahul, who congratulated the founder and coordinator of the festival, Mrs. Alina Carp, for the dedication and constant effort in promoting the theater. The deputy mayor of the Cahul municipality, Mrs. Tatiana Romaniuc, and the director of the "N. Botgros" Culture, Mrs. Rodica Panasescu, were also present.

"By cultivating love for the theater among children and young people, we want to form a generation of talented actors, to give life to the scenes in our theaters and, why not, to represent us on the big scenes outside the country." - Nicolae Dandiș, mayor of Cahul municipality
The International Theater and Young Theater Theater Festival "Theater spring" is not only a competition, but a bridge between generations, cities and cultures, which confirms that theatrical art is alive and vital among the new generation. Cahul thus continues to assert itself as a regional center of living and participatory culture.
We see each other with the same energy and passion at the next edition!
