The Sports Club " RIBAKOV TEAM " was founded on July 12, 2016, president and founder Gheorghe Ribakov. It is a Martial Arts club that operates in two sports: Taekwon-Do ITF and WAKO Kickboxing. The club is a member of the professional federations in the Republic of Moldova in both sports branches.
Currently, the club has 4 coaches who together train around 200 athletes, 100 of whom are from Cahul aged between 4 and 55.
About the founder: Gheorghe Ribakov - WAKO Kickboxing World Cup Champion and European Taekwon-Do ITF Cup Champion, IV DAN black belt holder, International instructor and World A class referee. He started his coaching activity in October 2010 in the municipality of Cahul, and in July 2016 he founded the " RIBAKOV TEAM " Club, which then had the name "ACTIV SPORT CLUB".
