    Short description

    The Palace building was finished in 1984, with a capacity of 600 seats, which is notable for the headquarters of 11 collectives and music and dance ensembles: "Izvorașul", "Iuventa", "Nufărul", "Bobocelul", "Majorette -Show", "Lăcrimioare", Studiou Theater "Masca", Chess Center, "Hobby Boom" Mâini Dibace Circle, Guitar Circle, Municipal Brass Band. Circles that are attended by over 600 children.

    The Palace of Culture organizes several events, including:
    ▶ Concerts dedicated to the Winter Holidays, March 8, Child Protection Day, Cahul City Day, Cahul Temple, etc.
    ▶ International folklore festival "Nufărul Alb"
    ▶ "Mărțisor" festival
    ▶ Permanent exhibition of folk craftsmen from the cross-border region (Romania)

    It is also the host of various activities and events: exhibitions, concerts, shows, master-classes, creative meetings, trainings, seminars, festivals, contests, conferences, films, etc.
    In March 2016 at the initiative of the mayor Nicolae Dandiș, and following the final decision taken by the Cahul town council, the Palace received the name of Master Nicolae Botgros.

    Nicolae Botgros was born on January 25, 1953, in the village of Badicu, Cahul district, in a family of violinists. Starting with 1978, Nicolae Botgros conducts the "Lăutarii" National Popular Music Orchestra. In 2012, the Cahul District Council awarded him the title "Honorary Citizen of the Cahul District".
