The Vale winery is, first of all, a family, which has values, traditions and appreciation for things well done, the love for winemaking being passed down from generation to generation. This passion began with grandfather Ilie, who was an accomplished artisan beekeeper and winemaker in Lunca de Prutului de Jos. He had a small vineyard behind the garden and every autumn he produced wine with the zeal of his hands and soul to share modestly with his friends and family. It was there, in the south of Moldova, the place with centuries-old traditions, that the Vale Winery took root.
The Vale winery produces wines from the heart and with great responsibility. Wineries and vineyards are located in the most picturesque protected micro-zone in the south of the country — Valul lui Traian. It grows domestic and international varieties — Merlot, Chardonnay, Cabernet Sauvignon, Pinot Noir, Pinot Grigio, Saperavi, Riesling, Muscat Otonnel, Rkatsiteli, Feteasca Albă and Feteasca Neagră — and with the help of our talented oenologists we seek to give our wines an excellent taste and unmistakable, wines appreciated not only in the Republic of Moldova, but also in countries such as Romania, Germany, USA, China, Japan and Belarus.
