Vinăria din Vale is, first and foremost, a family, with values, traditions and an appreciation for things well done, the love for winemaking being passed down from generation to generation. This passion began with grandfather Ilie, who was a skilled beekeeper and artisan winemaker in Lunca Prutului de Jos. He had a small vineyard behind the garden and, every autumn, he produced wine with the zeal of his hands and soul, to modestly share it with his friends and family. It was there, in the south of Moldova, a place with centuries-old traditions, that Vinăria din Vale took root.
Vinăria din Vale produces wines from the heart and with great responsibility. The cellars and vineyards are located in the most picturesque protected micro-area in the south of the country — Valul lui Traian. It grows local and international varieties — Merlot, Chardonnay, Cabernet Sauvignon, Pinot Noir, Pinot Grigio, Saperavi, Riesling, Muscat Otonnel, Rkatsiteli, Feteasca Albă and Feteasca Neagră — and with the help of our talented oenologists we seek to give our wines an excellent and unmistakable taste, wines appreciated not only in the Republic of Moldova, but also in countries such as Romania, Germany, the USA, China, Japan and Belarus.
