Specific: History and ethnography. Ethnography is the folk wisdom that reflects centuries-old knowledge and experience in various fields, it is the science that studies the code of unwritten laws, the status according to which a people lives, works and creates. Considering the specificity and activity of the museum, as well as the contemporary cultural context, the Museum of History and Ethnography becomes a museum connected to the universal desire for a 21st century museum and recognized both for its uniqueness, for the organized activities, and for the relevance it has to the public. A museum with a diverse and numerous heritage of national importance, representative of the interests of our museum community. The categories of cultural assets include 10,560 objects that illustrate history from ancient times to the present day.
The museum has six halls:
- Initiation Hall;
- Ethnography room;
- Peasant house - grandparents' house;
- The Big House;
- Hall of Memory;
- Tourist information center.
It operates under modern and efficient conditions, having as its basic pillars the research of the heritage it holds, harmonized with the four values now promoted by the European Network of Museum Organizations and adapted by many museums in Europe; the value of collections; educational value; social value; economic value.
