Museum of History and Ethnography

The Văleni History and Ethnography Museum opened its doors to the public on August 27, 2017 (Independence Day of the Republic of Moldova), when the Văleni Socio-Cultural Center was inaugurated (St. Hierarch Spiridon Orthodox Church and the Valeni History and Ethnography Museum ).

The museum includes up to 1000 pieces of clothing, furniture, documents, photographs, various tools. The purpose of the Museum of History and Ethnography is to preserve and enhance the historical, ethnographic and cultural heritage of the locality. In the museum premises there is also a Carpet Weaving Workshop where local artisans pass on the craft of carpet weaving to girls from Văleni.
