Bust of Stephen the Great and Saint

The bust of Stephen the Great and Holy, made by the sculptor and architect Ion Pascal, was inaugurated on November 24, 2000. Made of marble and granite, the bust was placed in front of the headquarters of the Cahul branch of ÎS CRIS "Registru", with the contribution of Ion Butmalai, then director of one of the institution's subdivisions. Later, in order to unblock A. Sciusev Street, in accordance with the provisions of the General Urban Plan of Cahul municipality, it was decided to move it to the square near the Police Inspectorate. As a result, the re-installation of the bust of the ruler Ștefan cel Mare on the new site was carried out on March 23, 2016, in the presence of local, district and central officials.
