Bust of Stephen the Great and Saint

The bust of Stephen the Great and the Saint, made by sculptor and architect Ion Pascal, was inaugurated on November 24, 2000. Made of marble and granite, the bust was placed in front of the headquarters of the Cahul branch of the CRIS "Registru" public institution, with the contribution of Ion Butmalai, then director of one of the institution's subdivisions. Later, in order to unblock A. Sciusev Street, in accordance with the provisions of the General Urban Plan of Cahul municipality, it was decided to move it to the square near the Police Inspectorate. As a result, the reinstallation of the bust of Prince Stephen the Great on the new location was carried out on March 23, 2016, in the presence of local, district and central officials.
