Bust of Mihai Eminescu

The bust of Mihai Eminescu (1850 – 1889), made by sculptor Sergiu Ganenco, member of the Union of Plastic Artists of the Republic of Moldova, after the first of the four known photographs of Eminescu, was unveiled on August 31, 2019, in the square near the "Nicolae Botgros" Palace of Culture. Cast in bronze, the bust was mounted on a stylized column, fixed on a concrete pedestal covered in marble. Under the bust, only his signature, "Eminescu", was inlaid. The inauguration was attended by officials of the municipality, representatives of the Diocese of Southern Bessarabia, the Writers' Union of the Republic of Moldova, and numerous locals.
