Chess Center

The Cahul Chess Center was opened at the initiative of the renowned chess player Tudor Pascal and with the direct support of the mayor of Cahul, Nicolae Dandiș, in July 2016.

Cahul Chess Center is the only institution in Cahul County where the art of chess is studied. The students of the chess center are always encouraged to participate in various regional, national and international tournaments. And the results were not long in coming, occupying leading places in tournaments held in the country and in Romania: «Last Step in Chess in 2022» Tournament, Galați, Romania, Republican Tournament «Comrat Chess Cup 2022», Comrat, RM, Chess Tournament «Aegyssus Cup», Tulcea, Romania, International Classical Chess Competition «Pro Logos Galați», Galați, Romania. etc.
