    Short description

    The fine arts school for children in the municipality of Cahul was founded on 01.08.1960 by Gheorghe Guzun, then a young graduate of the "Ilia Efimovici Repin" Fine Arts School in Chisinau, currently the "Alexandru Plămădeala" College of Fine Arts .
    Up to now, more than 2000 students have completed their studies in the School, who, after graduation, extended their studies at educational institutions in the Republic of Moldova, becoming plastic artists and members of the Union of Plastic Artists of Moldova, teachers in Plastic Arts Schools, Colleges of arts, institutions of higher education, practiced fine arts both in the country and abroad. At the moment, 240 students from the municipality and its suburbs study in the school.

    Over the years, the students have participated in local, national and international competitions, being mentioned with the gold medal, the grand prize, the 1st, 2nd, 3rd places and diplomas of mentions. The school is the organizer of several art exhibitions, including: Contemporary Art Exhibition "Vernal Point" and Visual Arts Exhibition "Autumnal Elegy"

     The school of fine arts offers:

    - art history courses
    - sculpture courses
    - computer graphics courses.
