    Theoretical High School "Ioan Vodă" from Cahul is the first and oldest institution in the south of Moldova and in the Cahul district, which was established in 1913. Initially a high school for boys, in 1918 the institution became known as "Ioan Voievod", and later it became "Boarding School".

    In 1990, the high school was given the status of a pre-university institution, thus it became the "Ioan Vodă" Theoretical High School in the city. Cahul. Since 2000, the high school has been part of various international projects such as: the Bilingual Classrooms Project from the Republic of Moldova (2000), the ROBOCLUB Program (2017), the North Carolina – Moldova Service Learning School Partnership Project (2016-2017; 2017-2018), etc. Also, high school students participate annually in various competitions at local and international level, obtaining top places: the Flex program, the Feel English-Speak English regional competition, and the regional and republican olympiads.

    Since the foundation of this institution, students have had the chance to study two modern languages: English and French. The good preparation of students and teachers has led, in recent years, to the successful passing of English language skills certification tests such as: TOEFL, Cambridge, DELF. The high school has well-equipped rooms with equipment, school furniture and trained teaching staff, thus ensuring the smooth running of the educational process.

    "Ioan Vodă" High School is a complex and modern educational institution that combines tradition with innovation and that offers students accessible training opportunities, while supporting the development of a harmonious, creative, pragmatic and success-oriented personality.

    We focus on the study of foreign languages, the use of computers and the Internet simultaneously with a strong promotion of civic values, talents, literary, artistic and sports skills that constitute the specific requirements of the school, in partnership with local and international communities, NGOs, supporting simultaneously initiating educational projects.
